“In the region of Port-au-Prince the vèvès are made with great care so that they are clearly visible and almost geometrically flawless. Elsewhere, however, it is made carelessly and crudely…

The vèvès represent figures of the astral forces in a different way than the asson does. Their manufacture in the oum’phor is the reproduction…of the astral forces themselves. This fact signifies that the veves, considered as astral forces, are necessarily personified by the star-ancestors whose cult is Vodou – these ancestors being themselves personified by the loas, the spirits, the voudoun, or the mysteres that ‘mount’ the Vodouists.

…the reproduction of the astral forces represented by the vèvè obliges the loas (who are representations of heavenly bodies, stars and planets) to descend to earth.”

-Milo Rigaud, Secrets of Voodoo, p 67-68 (Pocket Books, 1971)

The students at the New Vision Art School in Port-au-Prince, Haiti have created an incredible series of artistic vèvès associated with the deeper manifestation of Craig Williams recent publication, Cult of Golgotha (Anathema Publishing, Ltd., 2018).

Golgotha Psychomanteum - Cult of Golgotha Series - David B. Metcalfe - 2018

What doorways were opened on July 16, 1945?

– Cult of Golgotha (Quantum Vodon), p 184 (Anathema Publishing, 2018)

The Cosmic Bomb (Acrylic on Cardboard, 2018) – Created on July 9th, 2018, on the 63rd anniversary of the Russel-Einstein Manifesto calling for a reduction of the risk of nuclear warfare.

“Get it? Not too many did in 1945, the Cosmic Bomb was still trembling in its earliness, not yet revealed to the People, so you hear the term only in the very superhepcat-to-hepcat exchanges.”

Etherian Contact – Cult of Golgotha Series (5 of 8)

“The contacts from the dimension of Etheria have expressed a great desire to inspire the expansion of human awareness beyond the limitations of the mechanistic model of reality, into inner spaces so they may explore the quantum potentials inherent in the enlivened flesh and blood of one who possess the Sacramental Vision.”

– Craig Williams, Cult of Golgotha (Etherian Physics), p 87 (Anathema Publishing, 2018)

Etherian Contact (Acrylic on Cardboard, 2018) –  created on July 7th, 2018, the 71st anniversary of the Associated Press article featuring quotes from Kenneth Arnold on the possible extraterrestrial origins of the unidentified flying objects that he reported seeing on June 24, 1947.

This piece is 1 of 2 in a ‘Post Human Futures’ series focusing on the evolutionary themes inherent in the post-nuclear era UFO narrative, which are becoming increasingly pertinent as we approach environmental collapse, drastic technological advances and the humanity’s potential future in space.

“The coalescence of elements and the coalescence of stems, the spherical geometry of the earth and psychical curvature of the mind harmonising to counterbalance the individual and collective forces of dispersion in the world and to impose unification — there at last we find the spring and secret of hominisation.

…Really I can see no coherent, and therefore scientific, way of grouping this immense succession of facts but as a gigantic psycho-biological operation, a sort of mega-synthesis, the ‘super-arrangement ‘ to which all the thinking elements of the earth find themselves today individually and collectively subject.”

– Teilhard de Chardin, The Phenomenon of Man, p. 242-243 (Harper Collins, 1976)

Anti-Pop Mary and Other Iconographic Re-Imaginings from Dominique Dupree

Anti-Pop Mary – Our Mother of the Illusion of Form – an iconoclast creation from Dominique Dupree

“True vision. Disturbing and powerful.” – Norbert Kox, American visionary artist and founder of the Apocalypse House Museum of Visionary Art

Visionary artist Dominique Dupree has been re-imagining icons for an age of commercialized illusion. Developing her work through an ongoing conversation with our culture’s predominant spiritual and material assumptions.

As she describes with her piece titled “Praying the Blood”:

“It was inspired by the visceral imagery conjured up by the practice.

I had these hands I picked up thrifting laying around forever and wanted to do something with them but nothing felt quite right…the imagery of praying of the blood down had been lodged in my mind.

Praying the Blood – an iconoclast creation from Dominique Dupree

I remember when I first heard of it and it really unnerved me, but I suppose that’s where so much art comes from…. I did some research for this, I learned the practice is discouraged in some circles of believers, but Luke 22:44 is argued as grounds for it’s legitimacy.”

Each piece repositions classic religious iconography through a direct engagement with recycled devotional objects – mixed media, glitter, and collage allowing these items to become gateways beyond the common assumptions associated with such familiar figures of faith.

She’s received incredible feedback, including humbling praise from the legendary artist Norbert Kox,  and it’s exciting to announce that she is opening her collection of recent works for sale.

Golgotha – New Painting from Haitian Artist Lesly Pierrepaul

Golgotha – Acrylic on Canvas – Lesly Pierrepaul – 2018

“In Haitian Vodou the Big G I made in the Cap represents the Ginen, the Ginen always made goods things, he healed the sick, cast out demons – Ginen is more powerful than the Houngan in the Mystic world, but in my painting he has another meaning – it represents Golgotha.

In the Bible they mentioned Jesus dead at Golgotha, then he resurrected after 3 days, so I took the same time to realize this painting .

It’s an Honor for me to do this painting for The Cult Of Golgotha Book

The Cult of Golgotha is Alive.”

– Haitian artist, Lesly Pierrepaul, director of the New Vision Art School in Port-au-Prince

Golgotha (Acrylic on Canvas, 2018) – realizing Dr. Reginald Crosley’s mission to support the Haitian arts has been one of the most powerful aspects of working with Craig Williams’ Cult of Golgotha material.

Dr. Crosley – best known for his incredible work of speculative spirituality, The Vodou Quantum Leap: Alternate Realities, Power and Mysticism – was an active participant in the Haitian Surrealist movement of the 1960’s. This incredible and expressive movement is alive today in the works of Haitian artists like Lesly Pierrepaul, who have been developing a unique contemporary vision of their culture and spiritual heritage.

Pierrepaul’s visionary art is central to Cult of Golgotha and his friendship is a rare blessing – and it is a blessing to be able to say that all of Craig Williams’ author proceeds from the sale of Cult of Golgotha are going directly to New Vision Art School to support Pirrepaul’s efforts to bring life to his community:

“I’m humbled and honored to see the Golgotha Doorway created by artist Lesly Pierrepaul! My book from Anathema Publishing, the “Cult of Golgotha” arrived in Haiti and within days Lesly created this radiant and powerful work entitled “Golgotha”!

It is so inspiring to see the magical Golgotha doorway being created! We must support the traditions and roots of the Spirit world! We must support traditional artists!

The Cult of Golgotha is Alive!”

The Intelligence of Death – Cult of Golgotha Series (4 of 8)

Screen Shot 2018-10-01 at 9.34.02 AM

“Once the Golgotha initiate experiences the Holy Sickness and awakens to the eternal shadow presence of the intelligence of Death, the hidden stargates open their ephemeral doorways into vistas unknown to mundane perception.”

– Craig Williams, Cult of Golgotha (Voix Mortes), p 136 (Anathema Publishing, 2018)

The Intelligence of Death (Acrylic on Wood Panel, 2018) – this particular Golgotha piece was a great opportunity to experiment with hints of the clean lines and symbolic clarity that Haitian artist, Lesly Pierrepaul uses in his paintings – as do some of my fellow north Georgia artists like Tex S. Crawford and Kip Ramey.

Web of Perception – Cult of Golgotha Series (3 of 8)

“All contact with alien intelligences have the potential to expand the human web of perception. Etherian intelligences seek contact with human awareness to ground their teachings within specific terrestrial spaces, and within particular corporal dimensions of awareness.”

– Craig Williams, Cult of Golgotha (Etherian Physics, p  88 (Anathema Publishing, 2018)

Web of Perception (Contact with Alien Intelligences) – (Mixed Media – Acrylic on Antique Roofing Panel, 2018) –  webs, dry wings, insect legs, etc. worked into the paint on charactered wood that sat for decades on the threshold between the enclosed space and the open sky.

Preliminary Cosmo-Psychic Spider Daemon Sketch

The 200 year old barn where this piece was created hosts a vibrant array of arachnid life, – the creation process harnessing the the important sense of place within the work of Golgotha – providing an opportunity for unique meditations upon certain key passages within the text on time travel and contact with non-human intelligence(s).

It was particularly gratifying to complete this painting as part of an extended experimental process begun in 2013 with Our Lady, Queen of Spiders – through the lens of Golgotha this composition becomes an active portal into the cobwebbed attics of space/time:

“I suddenly heard the subtle sounds of every insect around me – all of the eyes – the movement – the entire atmosphere alive with awareness.

I ‘saw’ the queen at the center of the web – her eyes black mirrors – her poison a dry medicine which strips away the flesh of illusion.”

Our Lady, Queen of Spiders

A sweet, field of sonic revery – the song of our lady is a choice and holy choir. An atmospheric meditation in stereo sound- of spiders and honey in the carcass of a lion.

Sounds assembled 2010-2013, Processed & Fixed in the heart of the woods on the night of April 28th, 2013

Golgotha Psychomanteum- Cult of Golgotha Series (2 of 8)

Posted in > ART by David on October 4, 2018

Screen Shot 2018-10-01 at 11.43.33 PM

“Dr. Crosley has provided specific instructions for building the atmosphere within the Golgotha psychomanteum, allowing the initiate to attune to the voices of the Baron Cimitiere who teaches many secrets related to journeys to the Land of the Dead beyond our known universe.”

– Craig Williams, Cult of Golgotha (Quantum Vodon), p 180 (Anathema Publishing, 2018)

For the first image in the series – Click Here

Golgotha Psychomanteum (Acrylic on Cardboard, 2018) – borrowing inspiration from the fantastic visionary painters of Port-au-Prince, Haiti – this piece is painted on cardboard and utilizes a more diagramic design that the others in the initial series of 8.

The term ‘psychomanteum’ describes a therapeutic mirror-gazing methodology developed by afterlife researcher Dr. Raymond Moody that induces a mild altered state of consciousness when employed by a willing subject – his website LifeAfterLife.com describes it as:

“…a chamber invented by Dr. Moody, but inspired by the ancient techniques used for 2500 years at the Oracle of the Dead in Ephyra Greece. A visitor to the Psychomanteum often experiences contact with departed loved ones.

The Psychomanteum technique involves mirror gazing. You seat yourself comfortably, then relax and look into the depth of a clear mirror without trying to really see anything. Deep relaxation is necessary for this process. When the relaxation process is successful, your arms should feel heavy, and your fingers will tingle. This tingling will signal the onset of the hypnogogic or altered consciousness state.

Your mirror will become cloudy: Practitioners report seeing an image resembling the sky on a cloudy day; others find that the mirror seems to darken. This lets you know that visions are about to appear.”

Within Williams work  ‘Psychomanteum‘ functions as a descriptive hint for effective use of symbolism in trans-mundane visualization practices – the Golgotha Psychomanteum diagram works within this understanding to provide a cipher and iconic gateway from which to encounter certain atmospheres related to the text.

In the Spaces Beyond – Cult of Golgotha Series (1 of 8)

Posted in > ART by David on October 4, 2018

Screen Shot 2018-10-03 at 1.33.12 PM

“The irradiated flesh assumes horrific masks in the spaces beyond the Saturnian Doorways.

We have established contact to liberate the human consciousness from the binding Ahrimanic illusions.

We exist within and without the atmosphere and elemental spaces of the flesh and terrestrial realms. There is no distinction between Inner and Outer Space in Etheria.

The human bio-field must be metabolically transformed to survive the entry into the atmosphere of Etheria.

How long will science ignore the esoteric implications of the appearance of the Etherian Aeroforms?

We exist eternally as Invisible Residents in the atmospheres of the mind and terrestrial spaces.”

-Etherian Physics Trance-Mission, p 105-106 in Craig Williams’ Cult of Golgotha (Anathema Publishing, Ltd., 2018)

A new series of paintings and illustrations is in the works to celebrate Craig Williams’ recently published book, Cult of Golgotha.

In the Spaces Beyond (Mixed Media – Acrylic on Canvas Board, 2018) plays with the concepts of – Stargates – Masks – and Gateways – as described in Williams’ work –  borrowing from folk art traditions still current within north Georgia and the Carolinas, which feature visionary depictions of elemental entities, skeletons and UFOlogical beings and craft.

Each piece in the series continues creative explorations of Williams text through the additional lens of both artistic and esoteric traditions active within the north Georgia region – the radionic work of Dr. T. Galen Hieronymous – the bio-field techniques developed by Raybun County’s famed ‘living radionic device,’ Edd Edwards – the apocalyptic nuclear era ambiance of the Georgia Guidestones – and other subtle streams peculiar to the area in which the paintings are created.

As Dr. Reginald Crosley advised ‘Docteur Williams’ before he began transcribing the Golgotha trance-missions into book form:

“…you must continue to push the boundaries of the Bio-field frequencies and establish the Elijah-Elisha connection. The Cult of Golgotha must become a Strange Attractor, a Vortex of Singularity!”

Contact With Alien Intelligences – 8 examples from an ongoing series of PAINTED TRANCE-MISSIONS

Posted in > ART by David on October 3, 2018

“Once the teachings of the Valley of Shadows are transmitted to the initiate, specific stargates are discovered on both an exoteric and esoteric level, existing both within and without, in outer space and within the inner space of the initiates’ flesh, blood, and consciousness.”

– Craig Williams, Cult of Golgotha (Voix Mortes), p 135  (Anathema Publishing, 2018)

43053757_922141417973515_236134888162459648_nThe Cult of Golgotha is a living wellspring – an invitation to advance beyond the psycho-sociological prison of contemporary “occult” work and into a full blooded conversation with the uncanny atmospheres and alien of the Ambient Dead!

Having worked with the material since Craig Williams began harnessing Golgotha’s trance-missions to form a book, it wasn’t surprising that there would be a certain ease in summoning a commemorative series of paintings to celebrate its release into the wild – but the directness, the presence and the immediacy of the process is certainly irregular to my normal pace.

The excerpt above from the Voix Mortes chapter revealed itself when I opened Cult of Golgotha questing for the meaning behind an obsessive output of 6 paintings in two days, and the rediscovery of two pieces created during the pre-publication phase of the book, to create a series of 8 initial commemorative paintings.

These words revealed themselves with eagerness and spoke directly to the presence evoked when the pieces came into focus – each painting’s meaning has now been recovered from the text, empowering them as Stargates exotericized through atmospheres drawn from the immersive fields of Golgotha.

“Cult of Golgotha presents a mysterious and strange glimpse into a creative occult current of revealed gnostic expression: the alchemical cross-pollination of Tantric Physics and Esoteric Voudon. Gnostic Bishop Craig Williams reveals a systematic vista of quantum exploration within the Womb of the Dark Goddess and Her web-like reach into the elemental world of gnostic Voudon. ” – from the publisher’s website

Each work is saturated in the folk practices underlying the book: some painted on antique barn roofing panels include webs, dry wings, etc. worked into the paint – others are painted on antique barn siding carry memories from a centuries old abandoned cemetery that rests to the West of the barn beyond a creek that winding a crooked path through the woods – and still others are simply painted on cardboard, as the fantastic visionary painters of Port-au-Prince, Haiti do to conserve valuable resources.

What would these pieces be if they did not embrace the important sense of place within the work of The Cult?

So it is that all of the materials and techniques used in their creation relate in some way to the deeper practices hinted at in the book – even the acrylic paint itself is both an homage to my brother and sister artists in Haiti and memorializes my deceased mother, from whom many of them were inherited.

Each example from this series is a small window into The Cult – Stargates hidden within simple folk forms and illustrative expressions.

41488589_10218218145905476_2941555996461367296_nThese initial 8 are a beginning – or rather a continuation – of the creative expression inherent in Cult of Golgotha. Even now Haitian artist Lesly Pierrepaul, director of the New Vision art school, is working on additional paintings expressing Golgotha’s deep ties to the Haitian soil, and I have begun work on a new set of paintings associated with my own relationship to this potent magical machine.

For those who would like to acquire a deeper engagement with Gologotha – there are a few paintings left unclaimed from the initial set of 8, and as mentioned there will be additional pieces available soon.
